Allocations Committee

• Creates a mission-driven, proactive allocations process that utilizes Partnership Outcomes and Indicators
• Reviews the funding process
• Surveys applicants and decision-makers
• Oversees the planning and development of next year's allocations process

Community Awareness and Development Committee

• Works to increase Durham's awareness of early childhood issues and their economic importance to the future of this community
• Stresses the value of public and private sectors working together to address these issues

Evaluation Committee

• Develops a process to facilitate a common understanding of Outcomes and Indicators
• Ensures that meaningful data is collected to report our work towards outcomes for Durham's young children

Executive Committee

• Consists of the Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary, Treasurer and other appointed Board members
• Has authority over the basic management of the Partnership
• All actions taken are reported to the Board

Finance/Audit Committee

• Oversees the Partnership's financial management and the annual audit by the State Auditor's Office
• Reviews operating budgets, contracts and proposed contracts
• Reviews all budget amendments of Durham's Smart Start contracts

Membership/Nominations Committee

• Determines the composition of the Board by identifying, recruiting and proposing Board members
• Evaluates Board members and Board development activities (orientation and continuing education)

School Readiness/More at Four Committee

• Gives input and feedback on the More at Four program in Durham County and other school readiness activities and programs
• Works to increase the community's awareness of school readiness issues and the value of the community and public schools working together to address these issues
